Secret Abilities has been up a ton of new-ness lately! We're so excited for our new ep, featuring 3 songs from us and 3 song from our sister band, Danger Button. And the coolest part? We've each covered one of the other band's songs! It's been a blast! Oh, and a new music video is going to be coming out with our cover of Danger Button's "Sophie". It features our very own Tink, and keep an eye out for some crazy dancing boys!
We were going to write a new song last night. Instead, we spent an hour or two singing Happy Together. It started as a legit cover we were planning on doing, and ended with us all singing in our muppet voices. you can here the resulting awesomeness on our sounds page. " If I can't touch it with my tongue, it's too far away. That's how I judge distances." -Justin Behling Tonight is the night some of you have been waiting for for a long time- it's the night Secret Abilities starts recording their album! We're pumped, we're stoked, we're so excited for this thing, you couldn't even imagine.
So, as you're going about your Friday Night business, smile as you think, 'hey, those guys are in the studio, recording a song just for me RIGHT NOW' and be pumped with us. We just wanted to say, Happy Passover from Secret Abilities! to all of our Jewish fans out there.
Which is probably just Tink's family for right now, but don't worry, there will be more. Anyway, enjoy your Matzoh everyone! It's gonna be a long week of it! And for anyone who's interested, here are some of our favorite Passover videos: the Fountainheads Passover Song Matzoh Man Google Exodus We made some new friends at the Basement in Ogden last weekend!
Here's what they wrote about us and our brother band, Danger Button, on facebook this week: "Attention fans of The Basement: We made some very cool new friends over the last couple of weeks. Please check out Secret Abilities and Danger Button. These are two phenomenal local bands that you must listen to. Thanks again Secret Abilities and Danger Button for coming to The Basement and sharing your talents with us. We can't wait to see you both play again." Thanks guys! You can check out the Basement, an awesome Ogden venue, here. Last night we did a way nice acoustic practice working on harmonies, kinda wished we recorded it.
